History & experience
John Loshuertos started in the food brokerage industry in 2002 with LAD Foodservice Sales & he quickly made an impact within the company by identifying large volume opportunities with a few local chain accounts. In his 1st year, he closed a $100k/yr oil contract & brought one principal $200k worth of new distributor business. His assignments began at the operator level, but soon expanded into managing distribution. Over his 8 year tenure at LAD, he efficiently managed 16 different distributors and had established relationships with hundreds of large leverage operator accounts. Now, he brings that experience & expertise to BayWest Marketing, where he has grown his principals foodservice business by over 25% within the 1st 2 years.
Mission statement & state of the industry
In recent years, the foodservice broker industry has become either more regionalized or more specialized. BayWest Marketing has made it part of our mission to focus on a select local manufacturers who show a desire to grow their foodservice business in Northern California and have the ability to produce products that are in demand within many foodservice segements (i.e. C&U, B&I, hospitaility, healthcare, K-12, restaurant & chains). With larger brokerage firms, some smaller to medium-sized manufacturer’s can get lost in the mix & rarely see the kind of growth they deserve by using the services of a broker. At BayWest, we make each principal our priority by bringing large volume conversion opportunies (at operator or distributor), new chain contracts (RFP’s), provide a perpetual target market plan, and use our relationships at the distributor & operator to solidy manufacturer identity & brand.
