As brokers, we believe in cross-merchandising with the lines we represent. Lines that compliment each other are beneficial to our clients, distributors, and the operators we sell. Through years of understanding the needs and nuances of our customers, we know how and when buying decisions are made. Often times, another line in our portfolio will be a conversation starter for ones that we initially intend to sell. Consumers in this market are a diverse mix of ethnicities, highly educated, and passionate about their food choices. We get it, and therefore work with manufacturers who hold similar values.
Our Founder and CEO has a passion for food! His career in foodservice sales began in 2002 at a NorCal regional brokerage house, representing such heavyweight brands such as ConAgra, General Mills, and Dean Foods, while also working with smaller, emerging brands. During this time, he experienced under-representation of some lines and realized the need for more equitable distribution of time and attention paid to all manufacturers.
It was this experience that lead him to start BayWest Marketing in 2010. Since then, the company has helped many manufacturers emerge and thrive in the NorCal market.
